Sweet Rose
My eyes sore to the sight of a wilted rose
Imagining what beauty it must have contained before
And how such a thing could happen
Curious to possibilities ahead
I nursed the nearly dead rose back to life
Showing her love unconditionally
Watched magic reveal itself before my very eyes
She had the strength to stand out in a field
Her beauty was seen for miles
For she was my sweet rose
Not only did I save her, but she did me
My sore eyes were reawaken to her soul
For now I knew the meaning to why I wasn't full
I was in need of my missing piece
She would now complete me
Oh my sweet rose for I pray you never die
Like our love it will live on for an eternity
