Sweet Relief
The feelings rush from heart, to hand, to pen, to page
The words come first a stream, then a river begun to rage
How did they stay within their bounds, their fetters?
Till now, released, they fly freed by mere letters
So much, so deep, so long was hidden
Until now, a page, a book is filled unbidden
Truth seeks a voice; clear, brave and forthright
More so, a need to be viewed in the light
Liberty, freedom, of thought and belief
Oh...simple words, oh...sweet relief!
