Sweet Puppy

Her name was Sweet Puppy if it be known.
Her building had been invaded by fire and strange men.
Animals inherently know God's love and don't have to be shown.
They are God's creations and will never know sin.

Sweet Puppy would not leave her own little brood.
Even though the fire kept getting dangerously close.
God had provided her with an instinct to protect and so she stood.
Finally here came one of those strange men with a hose.

He lifted her and her puppies to a safe place.
And moved on his way to help get this fire put out.
Finally when everyone had stopped this frantic race.
Sweet Puppy went and thanked this wonderful man for this saving bout.

She couldn't tell him with words of thanks and praise how she felt
She could only lick the black smoke and sweat from his brow.
With complete understanding as we see her reaction our hearts melt.
Her actions make us realize the wondrous things that God can allow.
