Sweet Memories
I can still see your smile
Your sweet and peaceful face.
As you laid there in your casket
Lined with satin and white lace.
I stood beside you and caressed
Your hand that was so cold.
As I remembered how you said
Together we'd grow old.
On July 21st I found you
And my life was torn apart
July 27th I said goodbye.
Walked away with a broken heart.
If just once more I could hear you laugh
Or even see you smile.
Just to touch your face once more
I'd crawl a million miles.
