Sweet Love

Thy own bright eyes
Truth and beauty
Shall together thrive

But from thine eyes
My knowledge of love
I shall derive.

Bereft and torn
Thy tortured heart and soul
Within my gentle hands
Mended;
and alas made whole

So shall I live,
Supposing thou art true,
Sweet love,
Thy force renew
