Sweet Bird of Youth
Sweet Bird of Youth.
Sweet bird of youth, you have flown
I see in my reflection there,
Evidence that time now owns
My wrinkled face, and greying hair.
I may not be as fleet of foot
And bear the aches that come with age,
But if my life had been a book,
Love would be there, on every page.
It matters not that time has passed
It only matters you are here,
A life so blessed, so filled with love,
Is beyond measure, beyond years.
