Swan Lake

On this early spring like day
walking along the Scottish shoreline
with hair flowing in the breeze
enjoying freshness of the air so fine

As I walk back on inland way
approaching the pond in my sight
the sun shines bright in the sky
what glorious colours seem so light

There before my opened eyes
a scene pictured so swan lake
swans gliding along waters edge
so eloquent photogenic a take

So I sit down here at lakeside
enjoying the sunshine in my face
this is a moment to savor for sure
always mindful such a memorial place

Here indeed is peace like a river
flowing into fullness of your mind
oh for more moments like this
these are a very special kind
