Suzetta Made Her Move
He was a solid young guy, with an eye for one lady fair.
Suzetta had freckles on her nose, and sweet auburn hair.
He made sure he was outside sweeping when she came by.
At a quarter to six, in the morning, all happy and spry.
Good morning; he’d pretend it was an accidental meet.
Sagely wise Suzetta thought it indubitably sweet.
We’ll never court if Jasper does not get a push she knew.
So today she had a plan, knew exactly what she’d do.
She hopped off her bike and said let’s go in and have a talk.
He was thrilled of course, but his blue parrot made a squawk.
They shared a chocolate donut, and spoke of countries far away.
Taking their courtship one step further on that amazing day.
