Survivor

When you think your story’s leaving
Touch your tears, enjoy your evening
Don’t let it get inside your healing
The absence you are feeling

And if you think no more about leaving
Peace is within your night

I can’t get over your leaving
This absence I am feeling
Touch your tears, enjoy this evening
Don’t let it get inside your healing

They will make you believe it’s easy
The pain you feel inside

I want to step out on sunny days and smile
Vacate the premise during reigning hours
And console my child
The normal things
The simple credentials
So much happens when your away
Change is seen
The individual I once was
I come to no longer be
We’ve come a ways past
Since times of last
Memories, days pass
Fettle becomes my delivery
Indecent
The exposure
That has brought my days
Toward sudden closure
