Surrender

to place all hope in man would be foolish and obscure,
what seems right in a man's eyes is not necessarily from the lord,
we writhe, and toil, and search to find resolution for disasters,
some problems aren't meant for our logic to solve, but to be taken to the master,
we have all made the mistake of jumping ahead, to find comfort in our affliction,
to solve unwanted calamity and havoc, or cures for our addictions,
we've poked and probed, and tried to find reason, and are left with a calloused view,
a complete misconception of the outcome at hand, believing in what we thought to be true,
what we could of avoided gives us regrets, why did i ever conceive it this way,
but what i've found out is what god did allow, would forever change my life today.
