Notes About The Poem

Isn't it a sin and a shame before God, Almighty that we look down out noses at each other when we feel someone hasn't acheived the same status we have; especialy when we're talking about Salvation. Wouldn't it be nice if we all just worried about keeping our own noses clean and let God take care of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise,
It's so good to see you, My Dear,
Somebody's been waitin' to greet you.
Bet you can't wait to see who's here.

It took him a long time to get here.
Like you, he hit stumbling steady.
Not that he wasn't trying,
For a while there he just wasn't ready;

So we tarried with him for awhile,
Just as we did with you,
'Cause you both had a few little problems,
Though some were tougher with you;

For he knew all about his problems,
Had no trouble admitting each one.
Quite often acting like he didn't care,
Thinking only of old Number 1;

But most of God's children have good times and bad,
'Cause nobody's perfect you see.
That's why The Lord had to ransom you all,
Paying a terrible fee.

Now here's your brother, the one you shot down,
Time and time again,
Welcoming you with arms open wide,
Just look at that big loving grin.

Jesus reached down and brushed off the dirt,
And washed him in His Precious Blood,
Just like He did for everyone else,
'Cause you all were covered in mud.

Without Him not one of you could have been saved.
Without Him you'd all go to Hell.
Isn't it great that God didn't see,
Any difference twixt you when you fell.

We are all equal before God and we are all given our choices. Choose wisely. ~~

People forget what they have is a gift of God, everything is transient. Without assistance no one can survive. A wonderful write,no one is perfect, no number one. Take care Rama

- No, no one is perfect ... we are "just a human being" ... most people have done or said something they regret ... Christian or non-believer ... "number one" is hard to find - A powerful poem, Judy :) - Have a lovely weekend :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
