Surprise, Guys

A jaunty couple of 95
     celebrate anniversary #75

The candles on the cake are hot
but not as hot as our couple got

A knife cuts through the cake concealing
     colors unexpected, but quite revealing

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, black, purple, pink
'Oh, God!' cried the wife. 'I thought I winked.'
   ~ when I told the baker, 'for a coming-out party, I think.'

A rainbow promise made eons ago… Would have been a pretty cake.
