Surfers Delight

She stood on the shore watching the surfer glide along the wave
She took delight as she saw him brace against the huge wave
What a parallel to her own life …. she thought as she braced herself for each new day
But hers was a reality she had to fight… the cancer that was eating away at her bones
Waiting to churn her, crush her and defeat her.
And when he could not stand against the knocker wave
He just fell flat on his surf board and allowed the wave to swallow him
Yes that is how the end will be she mused.
