Supernova Egos

Outside the shrinking circle of sanity,
There's a raging, new-age blitz.
Filled with sirens and fiery cliques.
That live to smear a smile and gnaw away at bliss.
Don't let them drag you into the red rat's hole,
smash the last sequin of your precious soul.

They exist to confuse, rebrand, control.
Pat themselves on "your" back and call it growth...
As you gag on the smoke of their supernova egos.

They frolic in their own self-righteous misery.
Clown culture in the first dazzling degree.
Cherish and defend your peace and space vigorously.

Anthony, your excellent poem uses strong metaphors and vivid images to make a strong case against social pressures and egotism. Its vivid diction does a good job of making you feel rushed but careful.

What a powerful and timely piece, Anthony! The imagery you use, especially "gag on the smoke of their supernova egos" and "shrinking circle of sanity," is incredibly striking. It perfectly captures the chaotic energy and frustration of modern cancel culture. Your rhythm and rhyme drive home that passionate warning to protect one's peace and space. A brilliant and thought-provoking read!❤️🤔
