Supermarket Aisles

He wandered through a local supermarket
checking signs for the products in the many aisles
Whence he came upon a one and only Health Foods sign
does this indicate that all the products in the other aisles are unhealthy?
Unfit to eat. One would think that all food would be healthy
Is it junk filling the body which it then defiles?

There's further ugly lies and deception
claims of much variety
Perhaps eight different bases, sugar cane,flours, dairy, different kinds of meat
Advertising constantly fools our society

Then all this processed junk
ends up inside a plastic packet
Followed by advertising of the plastic contents inside,
on a wasteful glitzy cardboard jacket

So what's the outcome of all this 
deceptive processing tom foolery
Body size last thirty years exponential
we're treated in the category of buffoonery

Fifty years ago, extra large 
was the largest men's size shirt
The category of extra large now extends to seven
bigger 'round the shoulders and also round the girth

Surely genetics are not claimed to be 
the cause of all this explosive change
Is it the "food" plus lack of exercise ?
moves body mass index beyond accepted range

Let's do a bit of study of what some words mean
to the front of market add that little word super
It now just means the market, it's now extra large
not the stuff inside, that's a monster blooper

All the supermarket junk
you consume it at your peril
Be careful what you eat, these corporations 
are demonstratively feral
