Super Power

If I had x-ray vision
How naughty I would be
Spend all of my time in jail
Disregarding all privacy

Who wouldn't like to fly
Think of the time we'd save
Like a bird, take to the sky
Avoiding the TSA

Powers of the mind
The future perfectly clear
Secrets I would find
If your thoughts went in my ear

Telekinesis might be fun
Move anything with your eyes
The power of the sun
Mischievously fantasize

Wisdom was King Solomon's desire
In a way, wisdom is power
But wisdom is inspired
With a gift already empowered

It's the most important one
We often carelessly use
When all is said and done
Our gift is the power to choose

Actually, it is my opinion. Facing those "consequences" is how wisdom is acquired. Be they right or wrong, acknowledged or not, we all learn something, even from mistakes. Admitting them is where we fall short. I appreciate your insight and your kindness. Peace my friend.

A thoughtful and effectively presented write, Daniel....a "to be or not to be" moment indeed! We, indeed, all "have the power to choose" but, of course, we do not all have the "strength" to face the consequences of our choices or to acknowledge that we may make the "wrong" choices.

Thank you, Jan. I noticed there was a contest and was inspired to write although this is not for the contest. I appreciate your kindness. I was beginning to think I had lost my power to write. LOL. I have always thought the power to choose as the most important power.
