Super Blue Blood Moon

I've waited for so long
Have counted the days,
Numbered the nights
  to gaze at you

Those sleepless moments
I won't forget.
If only I could dictate
the time to take a faster pace

That immense wonder you possess
  are stored in my thoughts.
I dreamt of you,
I kept thinking
I never stopped

And finally the moment arrived
for me to witness your grace
But the night sky gloomed
and the rain poured and poured and poured.
I begged for it to stop,
  please stop,
But it never did
Only rendering my heart to silently bleed.

I never saw you,
  not even a glimpse
And now the waiting is over
Leaving my sullen soul to brood.

Ohhhh what a lovely piece you have penned, my friend! The moon has this uniquely magical way of drawing us to it, both literal and symbolic. Well done, Karen! Hugs. Pandita
