Sunshine Love

She saw him on the sidewalk
One evening in the spring
He was tall, dark and bashful
And quite a handsome thing

He never seemed to say a word
Each day as she passed by
He thought she didn't notice him
Or maybe, she was shy

Everyday when the sun came out
She saw him on the street
She wondered if he'd look her way
Or if they'd ever meet

He tried his best to call to her
But he couldn't say her name
He wanted to tell her how he felt
And hoped she felt the same

She saw him standing by a wall
Until it began to rain
For that's when shadows disappear
And vanish down the drain
