Tell me you'll be there forever
By my side
Promise me you'll wipe away
The tears I cry

The tears I cry for you
The tears that kill me inside
The tears for you
The tears

Tell me you'll be my friend
My one and only
Promise me you'll love me
Forever and always

Tell me your secret
To life
Promise me that you'll
Never lie

Be my sunshine
Be my rain
Just be there for always
And never change
Tell me you'll always
in your heart stay true
Promise me you'll always
love me too

Just tell me
Tell me
Just say it's true

I think perhaps we have all, at one time or another, been in such dispair that we might have 'thought' of it. Good for you. You thought of your loved ones first. He was too agonized, I guess.
