Sunset On Your Skin
Like a warm glow
on a peach's cheek,
your skin luminates,
I feel the radiating heat.
Mixed in with
your perfect shine,
our thoughts connect,
minds intertwine.
My heartbeat slows,
it stops on a dime.
Then it speeds up,
like a running race
to the finish line.
I'm captivated by
the way your face
shines in the light,
Looking at you,
the angels sing,
it's such a perfect sight.
Like a comatose dream
I never want to end.
Your beauty is like a symphony
playing in my head
over and over again.
Staring at your face,
words won't seem
to come out.
The sunlight reflecting
off your skin,
is something I
could not live without.
When I'm with you,
I anxiously wait
for the day to end,
so that I can see
the beauty
of a sunset on your skin.
