Sunset Compliment

A pallet of complimentary colors of orange and purple phase, grays at the edge of night a fog muffled melding of light like no other behind the Golden Gate bridge between spans held tight, seaside we wait for this fourth of July delight. And as the tangerine dollop of day descends the sparklers of children, and bright bottle rockets blend with the cascading chrysanthemum fireworks a surreal sunset baths the bay at day ending highlighting all San Francisco's marvelous quirks. Debs, I finally decided to find a poem of yours I had not seen recently and it was not so far from the top of your list. This is a real BEAUTY. One of the best of yours I have seen lately! I lived near SF right until the time of the great earthquake there before the '90's. I really would like to go back to that time and enjoy SF a bit more. WE only went into that city maybe five times in the whole 5 years we lived there!! Love this.

You paint a wonderful picture of the simple pleasures of summertime. You captured the moment beautifully! Well done, Debbie!.... Thank you so much for the nice comments. I know what you mean. When the words come I have to write them down wherever I happen to be!
