Sunrise Under His Watch

eagle’s eyes press sky
sun’s rays pierce through morning clouds...
     day of freedom reigns

liberty’s sign waits
new hope inspired by dawn’s light...
     nation’s pride rebounds

"By the dawn's early light." Very patriotic, Carolyn. Refreshing. We hear little enough of pride in our country these days. Those who criticize should go to most parts of Europe. (by themselves) I say they would be very eager to get back to the U.S.A. Love, daver

Let freedom ring through these beautiful haiku poems. Love you. (And thank you for being a community builder and for unselfishly sharing your time to read and encourage poetry on this site. My life took a swift new direction about 8 months ago, and I have not been able to reciprocate. My thanks go to every community builder who enjoys poetry and encourages other poets, like I once tried to do. I love you…all! Lovingly, Dane Ann)

NIce double Haiku on the same patriotic theme. And off we go rebounding to better places ..I can see the eagle doing that as soon as he spots his hunting ground at the break of morning light.... I hope the nation can. Thanks for your wonderful comments Carolyn. You awesome, lady Carolyn... you be just awesome.
