Sunrise

I trod the cool sands of some lonely beach
early one morn,
and was stunned at the beauty of that radiant dawn,
a sunrise of such magnificence
such beauty have i not seen ever since./

Glorious bands of orange, rose and purple reached
from horizon to horizon-brightly stretched,
sand and sea and all life forms kissed
by the hand of the Divine artist./
