Sunny Sunflower

She lures every body’s attention with her sunny charm and her radiant skin that dazzles bright like golden rays. Emblazoned with vibrant colors of fiery summer sun, her gorgeous silhouette surges her grace and elegance. Vivacious nature of her lights up every gathering as she fully mirrors the pizzazz of a sunny day. Everyone wants to playfully bask in her glowing warmth while she gently sways with her inevitable presence. She is abundantly gracious in spreading love and joy as if she's in charge to animate life itself with fun. A bright symbol of awakening for sharing the light that she seeks out to be enriched with spiritual brilliance. Flower of sun she is for dispelling the shades of grey with her vibrancy fades away all clouds of depression.

A gorgeous poem combining nature and spirituality, Afzal. Wonderful prose ... an instant fave. Pure poetry. Listening to "If I Had the Heart" by Swing Out Sister while reading this beautiful poem was such a transcendent experience. Love and joy, my friend.

This is beautiful. The meter is so smooth; could this be 'blank verse' as opposed to free verse'? Just asking.

Thank you for your visit and compliment, Dale. Actually it's written in an isosyllabic French form with a set rhyme scheme known as Bref Double. We don't have it in our site's form list so I tagged it under free verse but you are right, it can't be free verse. I should tag it with verse.

I love the way all faces of Sunflowers turn to face the sun. I was amazed when I saw a field of Sunflowers in Northern Italy all faces to the rising sun. Your use of metaphor of a sunflower to describe the sunny nature of this lady was charming and intriguing. A lovely poem Afzal! 7 ; )
