Sunlight

7/21/17

Not just taking a hike
But taking flight
Like a kite

Couldn't always get the whole pie or even a slice
In the sunlight
Trying to get the job done right
The first time instead of twice
With or without a drink on ice

It can't always be paradise
Or continually nice

Even when you're being polite
And rather precise
It could involve a sacrifice
And you paying the price
Regardless of if you even rolled the dice

It all may have been quite
The plight
With a loss or increase in appetite

On site
I will not hesitate to use my might
During the day or night

Despite
Another parasite
Trying to cause a fight
I'm going to reach new heights
So long as I still have life
