Sunlight

Faded Grey
with hues of black
taste of linen
no turning back

Feels of chaos
echoes of madness
forging forward
streets covered in sadness

Pavement under fast feet
broken lines under toes
How did this start
no one yet knows

Shaded faded grey
now becoming blue and white
Sunlight breaks through
revealing the horrific sight

The twin beacons of freedom
no longer in place
Could this truly be
written all over my face
