Sunlight
Like a cool desert breeze
On a hot summer day
Wafting over me
And offering relief
Like a gentle monsoon rain
Healing the parched earth
Drops of understanding
Promising rebirth
Like the evening sky
Filled with twinkling stars
Lighting up my night
Diminishing the scars
Like the day’s sunlight
Returning to shine on me
Surrounding me in warmth
And all I’ll ever need
