Notes About The Poem

Sunflower

So radiant in yellow gold hue
Under a bright afternoon sunshine
Neck turning slowly to directly
Follow and kiss the sun;
Loveliest of flowers, a symbol
Of optimism and happiness
Welcoming all with such glee
Even on saturnine days. Ever so...
Resplendent...that's why I love thee!

As I read your poem I see the golden yellow, turning with the sun. A beauteous flower--so is your poem, Edward.

With your acrostic Edward, you produced a beautiful image. I'd want to thank you for reading and placing my poem in your contest: this or that and have a great weekend.

Thank you! I'm sure they'll turn out well if frequently watered, Tom:-) Good luck with it!
