Sunday Morning

Living on the farm
Sunday morning's just the same
Visit grandparents in the city
Sunday morning a different time frame

Duties on a farm require an early rise
many chores needing to be done
In a suburban atmosphere
they slept well beyond the rising sun

In the bush environment on a Sunday morning
we could yell and laugh and sing whilst we were at play
Near grandmas house on Sunday don't waken all the neighbours
keep quiet as mice they'd say

Way back then calmness on a Sunday
many businesses remained shut
A day of rest devotion family gatherings for lunch
Today in many towns and cities
commercial activity there is a glut

Living on a farm is so peaceful, my relatives have farms and often went there on holiday. Didn't miss the city at all. Tom
