Sunday In the Park

Dogs of every shape and size On leashes pass by, prancing, While breezes from the river blow And set the leaves to dancing. Balls are tossed and trees are climbed As sweat-stained joggers, bouncing, Make tracks around the strollers, Like their fitness they're announcing. Families and friends converse And benches fill, inviting The readers and observers And a certain poet, writing.

I love this style -- the writer detached, observing her/him self. Bravo. Nicely done, Ilene! ~ gw

I like picturing those sweating backs impatiently jogging around strollers, probably a bit peeved they are "in their way" as you photograph them all with your mighty photo-pen Ilene.

I am sure many folks just take it all for granted but you bring the scene to life before our eyes. I wonder how many people would realise you are observing them:-) hugs jan xx
