Sunday
It never really occurred to her before or entered into her mind
Nor what would be in store in all the blessings she'd find
For she was usually out late an often slept in on Sunday
But in a twist of fate that weekend things went a different way
She was visiting an old friend who had moved out of state
And that's when the door opened and through it walked fate
The friend was going either way so she thought why not
The beginning of a new day in changing her life on the spot
Hearing that day's gospel and the words the priest had said
She thought of her own will being held together by a thread
She went back and read each verse, each time more coming to light
Emotions you don't rehearse no matter how strong your might
She's gone every week since, something about her has changed
I'm not here to convince but her whole life she has rearranged
I see the smile on her face, and hear the joy in her voice
When it comes to God's Amazing Grace accepting it, is your choice
