Sunbeam

Sunbeam sneaking
through the widdow-pane,

touching me so gently,
  on my cheek as
I lie here fast asleep.

So many years ago,
a memory such as this,
came to me so tenderly.

I awake so slowly,
to enjoy the warmth
this sunbeam brings me.

Such a delight to
   enjoy another
beautiful day.

This is such a beautiful and warm 'it's great to be alive' poem! Really feel that inspiring sunbeam - well done. Can't remember if I thanked you yet or not for commenting on my poem! So sorry - and thank you! Yes, ah to be 12 years old once again, wouldn't that be so delightful. Especially the wonder and imagination of it all. Thanks again so much for dropping by. Have a wonderful day! love, shar

It is so nice to welcome you back, James! It has indeed been much too long! A lovely bright poem on this rainy day in California!
