Sun Dripped

Tough position to be in
Wanting to claim European
Knowing something
 darker lies within
Something more natural
Light refraction
Melanin, Godly action
Borderline casual
foot stomping, dust rising
Serengeti surprising
ancestral awakening
First man's first cousin
splitting the world
over black and white
when did we become
so distant?
Once removed, disavowing
we were once one
You for I, and I am real
so stop denying
 your inner appeal
 allow your soul to reveal
and repeal this notion that
geological gentrification
has lost you to me forever
and come back towards
the light
