Summertime Relaxation

Sitting on this outdoor rocking chair

Umbrella overhead- and shading me

Mirrored in the lake, the verdant hill

Means summer opened up with ultra

Ease! As ducklings paddle circumflex

Rippling sounds of water bring siesta

Time, as chimes sway to softly chant

In sheer peaceful bliss, eyes closed,I

Muse the cold of winter- months ago

Enjoying now my gift of summer sun

Great example of difficult acrostic. I know I have done this type but don't know where to find it since they all are labeled as acrostic and I have so many !

You wrote with such ease that it doesn't even sound like an acrostic Sandra. Congratulations on your deserving top placement! Blessings xxoo

A summertime laziness or relaxation in double acrostic form, feels so soothing. Congrats. Hope you can pen another one in limerick on same theme for my contest. Congrats for top win. Mohan

Sandra, how you did this is beyond me, writing a charming ode to summer ease while adhering to the double acrostic rules AND making your right side so straight! Awesome job on this, you should go 'straight' to the top with this ~ John
