Summertime Is Coming
Summertime is Coming

Summertime is coming
To the northern hemisphere
The Sun half north in movement
As in every other year
The days are getting longer
Alaska's hardly ever dark
Don't even need a flashlight
Walking midnight in the park
School is out well almost
Except for make up days
Brought on by snows of Winter
To skip them never pays
The balmy days of Springtime
Turn to Summer days of heat
You can keep a little cooler
By wearing flip flops on your feet
The beach is calling out your name
Come and make the scene
Protect yourself when going there
Apply a very good sun screen
Hydrate yourself by drinking
H2O not alcohol
Alcohol's not for hydration
Makes you stagger sometimes fall
Although we'll try stop them
Try to nip them in the bud
Mosquitoes will return again
Little pests to suck your blood
Leave no water standing
It's a place where they will thrive
To make more little babies
Who will eat you up alive
I've expounded here a little
Of the good and bad of Summer
Heed the words that I have writ here
So those days are not a bummer
