Summertime Is a Sweet Song

Summertime is a sweet song in my heart Giving me a harmonious boost in June With brilliant sunshine and hot, hot days, I go about singing a lovely melodious tune While the birds join me with an obbligato The newly leaved trees sway to keep time Nature’s sounds are an orchestral symphony, I am bubbling over with exuberant rhyme Each new day brings a chorus of singing Rhapsodies are surrounding me, it seems, Sudden storms are the booming percussion Night sounds of insects accompany dreams, My heart is filled with awesome discoveries New tunes composed as I enjoy my days Filled with optimism and hope for a future Of peace and goodwill for everyone…always. You have good reason to feel good now, no matter the season. Sing with the bluebirds, chatter with the crickets, write about the happiness you feel... despite the heat of these long summer days.

I do feel good, Jenna. I think the increased blood flow to my brain has made me feel better. I'm still concerned about your headache, etc. You probably need to stay out of the hot sun.

It is heartening to know that summertime is full of song and rhapsody for you, depicted so beautifully in the poem. The summer this year is quite harsh in our part of the world, maybe reflection of climate change.

I love how you incorporated nature and the animal sounds and harmony in your singing bringing it all together is one with nature giving you that exuberant feelings of happiness and your wish of hope and peace for the future.
