A reality Chris, I’ve seen these bungee jumping caterpillars hanging from the trees in the park, after birds land near them, curious sight indeed, thank you for stopping by, cheers David

Heya Jenna, I’d say if it can pull itself back up into the leaves it may have a chance, they bungee jump off to escape predators, hang still for a while, and if the bird doesn’t twig what’s going on, it will usually fly off bemused with its beak agape, cheers David

This particular one Darlene did survive by taking its chances, with a bungee jump to avoid the birds clutches, cheers David
