Summertime
As the Sun rises on a brand new day one season ends and another is near.
Gone is the rain from Spring and the warmth of Summer is here.
Summer begins as the children finish the year in school,
and everyone heads for the beach to play in the sand and stay cool.
Summer brings us warm starry nights, corn on the cob and June brides,
watermelon, cherries, fireworks, and icecream sundaes besides.
Boating, fishing, eating lobster, and catching a wave.
Getting a tan, watching a parade, cooking on the grill, thats how summers are
made.
And just as it came Summer fades and gets ready for Fall,
but as I think back and remember the good times and say
" God I had a ball "
