Summer's Surf

    Days grow shorter apace
        the sun races ‘cross the sky
     Evening shadows intrude
        on our afternoons 

     The waves collapse a bit
        day-by-day in on themselves
     Summer’s endless surf 
        ~ stowaway on the shelf

Yes, summers surf looks sooo much better than a gray crusted snow bank in the city....

love the imagery and feelings you evoked as we lose sight of summer and embrace the shorter days of fall and winter. I especially liked: Summer’s endless surf ~ stowaway on the shelf
