Summer's Acrobat

Small squirrel scampers fast away from me. Up a tree he flees. An acrobat, He then leaps tree to tree. July 1, 2021 for Caren Krutsinger's Ninette Poetry Contest

Nice one Andrea. Even had you not said ‘squirrel’, it would still be evident from your vivid description. Terry.

Just a clever poem and so true, have them everyday staring at the kitchen window until I send a few peanuts their way. And then leap across to the trees.

So cute... Squirrels are our regular visitors and they do exactly as you wrote...Beautifully described...

Great description, Andrea. I only saw a squirrel once in my life and that's in London, near some wood. Hugs.

Truly you have captured the mischief and acrobatic grace of these furry maniacs! We lots of squirrels in our backyard. Watching theme has provided us many hours of smiles but many things said under our breath as they stip our fruit trees! Best wishes for the contest. I think Caren will like this one!

Our neighbour had one in his loft, they can do a lot of damage, we only have the grey ones in the uk now, seen red ones in Scotland though. Tom
