Summer We Love and Hate
Summer We Love and Hate (Enclosed Rhyme)
We were kids, in high school
Summer was a time we loved most
our happiest times when schools close
Summer holidays were for play, so cool.
We were in college, as we grew
Summer was the time we most hate
the longest days that our classes break
separated from sweetheart while in blue.
We were employed at our work place
Summer was the hottest time of the year
all weak and tired due to the sear
but had to work with a happy face.
Summer was a time when little doves cooed
Sea waves kissed our feet on the sandy beach.
It was a time people worked Summer jobs with greed
It was a time people wear sandals instead of shoes.
