Summer temperatures are rising, For the end of July, not surprising Kids head for the swimming pool, It's much too hot to be in school Outdoor workers need hydration, Tempers flare with mild frustration The elderly find it hard to breathe, Air-conditioning brings some relief And thoughts of December's snow, Six months and off to Florida we go! written July 28, 2021

I think our summer has taken a nosedive with heavy thunderstorms today. No chance of going to Florida though as you've shut the doors lol. Tom

It's the only time to head for Florida when winter has entrenched itself in the north. I used to visit my mother then. Good one. / Maurice
