Lovely, Mom's hands are a great source of inspiration for many poetry forms. I need to remember that. I did do a Mom haiku but it wasn't focused on hands. Love this & I love the encouragement & kindness you offered me via Andrea's blog on my hand. T/U for reading my Raja poem & sharing that you, too, are a feline lover. For a few days I was leery of my love who stood outside my bedroom door meowing, "heloooo" repeatedly to be let in. I can now place fingers on keys & type for wee bit w/o pain.

CayCay, thank you for your kind words and the good news that you’re on the mend! I quickly picked up Sputnik years ago to give him some medicine. He was caught off guard and ended up slicing and dicing me on my chest and left arm. I learned not to do that anymore! :-) Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.

Thank you, Line. She was a special lady. I was her favorite son—two younger sisters and no brothers. ;-)

Dear Mark, I adore your tender, nostalgic poem. I have similar "summer souvenir" memories as well. Your precious monoku brings me back to those beautiful, loving, learning times. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Sweet moments and memories. Those were the days, indeed. Life was simple then. To a degree, of course. : ) My best to you, Mark. : ) Hugs, Brandy
