Summer Song

Listen here darling
Don't get me wrong
We all have our summer
And we all have a song

Mine just started
When someone hit play
I can hear the words
That they sing and they say

They make me dance
And they make me sing
I want the song
From summer not spring

When I look in your eyes
And don't say a word
But the song is what
We both heard

Over and over
Again and again
dancing closer
No longer friends

Now listen here darling
Don't get me wrong
I want you
To be my song

I love the play on words here with the metaphor. I really like the second stanza. Keep writing. Sara
