Summer Nights

It’s the twilight times and fireflies
And the scent of jasmine fills the air,
Birdsong echoes from the trees
The sights and sounds of summer fair.

Each day brings forth a new miracle
And imagination spreads its wings to fly
Spurring me to reach my spiritual pinnacle
where eternal life awaits unwaveringly by.

I wonder where all the years have gone by
But then one wakes to: what good am I?
Regretfully letting all the world go by—
So now I turn my back and quietly lie.

Congrats. Thanks for this. Likewise, cheering you with blest Christmas spirit, while sharing "... the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23 of the King James Bible). God bless you.
