Summer Holidays
The feel of warmth in the air
The sight of mornings so clear
The removal of warm heavy clothes
Birds chirping and coming out of their homes
Finished are the tiresome exam days
It’s the time of summer holidays
No more books, no more scolding of mom
No more getting up on Monday mornings with a frown
Its time to play, Its time to enjoy
Go for a swim followed by French fries
To beat the heat we head for the hills
Eat junk food, coke and ice creams to our hearts fill
In this fun we hear the monsoon clouds thunder
The beginning of the end of holidays, we start to wonder
Back to the table filled with books
Brings the frown back in our looks
Today in school on a horrible Monday
But don’t worry friends, just 300 days for our next HOLIDAYS
