sun-kissed briars droop
summer blisters scar grey twigs
cypress leaves ooze sweat

nightjars scoop dry ice
v ripples on rain starved ponds
homing pigeon’s drought

Where do the cypress live? I think I would like to go see them but it must get hot there...your poem was so descriptive! Congrats on your win.
