Summer Harvest

We made a promise to be together,
see the harvest and play in the summer,
to see the vine, celebrate with wine.
I'll wait till December, I'll hold on no matter,
till you come in the summer, then we will be together.

We made a vow to stay forever,
see the ranch and play in the summer.
To race with horse, celebrate the cross.
Today is October,I'll hold on no matter,
till you come in the summer then we will stay forever.

We made a pact to call each other,
see the opera and play in the summer.
To sing a ballad, celebrate with salad.
Its three months after December,I'll hold on no matter,
till you come in the summer, we will call each other.

We made a covenant of sickness and health,
see it lasts,no matter the weather.
To see you smile, celebrate your life.
Now you are gone, I shiver and wonder,
someday we will meet to part no longer.

I like what you have done here. I'm sure it is a form but I can't remember what it is called. However you endow the work with novelty. i particularly like the way that you say the same thing with the first line of each stanza and you gradually breath life into them. The feeling of the narrative if sadness but ends with an optimistic note. the rhyme scheme maintains that level of seriousness throughout. A lovely poem.
