From my memory bank
Long days of sun
&nature blinks & shrinks
the dying grass
yellowed in sleep
held fast as Oat grassh
tinted old gold
shimmers on tall green
stems
On a clear warm
light of morning sun
the Brimstone awakens,
then
from each flower hovers
on the drying wind
of the breeze- sun-lit.
Sitting here
I dream
those days of my youth
life
was slower then
holidays so full of sun
time just drifted
daylight lasting
oh so long
days stretched into weeks
carefree
we ventured forth
growing up
was simpler then
