Notes About The Poem

I traveled a lot over the years. What inspired me to write this poem was the anxiety of the plane landing with its bumps and luggage claim, hoping it didn't get lost during the trip. Writing this poem has helped me to relax a little in this area.

Suite Case

Pack, gotta fly! Where to? Who knows!
Cheap tickets, shaky plane, Oh woes!

Boarding zone mess,
Big travel stress,

Up, up, and away!
suitcase MIA,

Ears pop, attendants in a ballet.

"Drinks? Snacks?" They chime.
Seats recline, one at a time.

Land ho! Brace for a bump,
"Please stay seated," with a thump.

Luggage claim, a weary fight,
Then, there it is! The reunion is bright!
